Gold, silver ease on weak global advice

Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) Prices of spot silver and gold eased in the opening session on weak global advice, according to traders at the bullion market today.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 18,590, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,525, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,565.

Steps taken to prevent fever in AP north coastal districts

Visakhapatnam, Aug 14 (UNI) The Health Department here today was taking steps to prevent the spread of fever in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. An official release said here that it has identified 735 villages in Srikakulam district. The department also conducted 78 medical camps in the district. Bhopal, Aug 14: Rail traffic has been badly affected by heavy rains pounding the state capital and adjoining areas since last night with the Raptisagar Express' engine getting derailed near Midghat station in Bhopal Division of the West Central Railway.About 22 trains were running two-five hours behind schedule due to the accident and waterlogging of railway tracks at the Bhopal-Bina division.Rains disrupted air traffic in the state capital's Raja Bhoj airport and a New Delhi-bound Indian Airlines flight.....
