CS results on August 25

New Delhi, Aug 14: The results of the Company Secretaries (CS) examination held last June would be declared on August 25, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) said today.

The results -- for foundation, inter and final year streams -- would be displayed simultaneously at the ICSI headquarters, regional offices at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, 69 chapter offices and 63 examination centres in India and abroad, a ICSI spokesperson said.

It would also be available on the Institute's website www.icsi.edu, she said.

As many as 1.5 lakh students had taken the test, she informed.

Student fatally knocked down by oil tanker

Vijayawada, Aug 14 (UNI) A student was killed on the spot after an oil tanker hit him at Bhavanimpuram Darga here today. According to the police 11-year-old Sheik Subani a fourth standard student of the Urdu school at Ibrahimpatnam was riding a cycle when occurred the mishap. New Price Index proposed

BHEL bags Rs 1,224 cr order from UP govt

New Delhi, Aug 14: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a contract worth Rs 1,224 crore for setting up a 500 MW thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh.The Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL) has placed the orders for setting up two units of 250 MW each at Parichha TPS Extension, a company statement said today.The project is slated for commissioning in fiscal 2009-10.So far, BHEL has commissioned over 9,000 MW of power.....
