Colombo National Savings Bank's innovation

Chennai, Aug 14 (UNI) The Colombo-based National Savings Bank has enabled customers with online ATM, utilising the technology of FSS Tech, the worldwide services wing of the city-based Financial Software and Systems (FSS).

The bank has implemented the state-of-the-art BASE24-es(tm) Electronic Financial Transaction Switch for ATM driving and online transaction authorization, a company release here said.

For the bank's card issuance and management functions, FSS has implemented DCMS(c), a debit card management application suite.

BASE24-es is a new generation integrated payment engine from ACI Worldwide, the global leader in electronic payment systems. Being the first of its kind in the island, the advanced authorization, sophisticated routing and international payment system support would ensure a key technological leadership position to the bank.

With the implementation of online ATM network, over 14 million customers of NSB stand to benefit across the island through world-class switch services, with anywhere, anytime banking.

As a contingency measure, an online DR Switch has also been implemented, resulting in unparalleled availability of services to customers DCMS, an end-to-end ATM/Debit Card Management solution from FSS, will enable NSB to roll out different type of debit card products for their 14 million customers.

First rubber thread manufacturing plant set up

Agartala, Aug 14 (UNI) Eastern India's first heat resistant rubber thread manufacturing plant has been set up by the Dharampal Satyapal(DS) group in Tripura today. A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 5000 Metric Tonne (MT) per annum was inaugurated by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar here. DGP asks officers to be vigilant on Aug 15

Jammu, Aug 14 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Gopal Sharma has asked police officials of all districts to be vigilant on Independence Day. The DGP reviewed security arrangements made in connection with the Independence Day celebrations at a high level meeting which was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pramod Jain and Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, Dr S P Vaid.
