BMFC plans big football complex to add glamour to the game

Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) The Bengal Mumbai Football Club (BMFC) is in the process of implementing plans which includeds building a football complex, to help Indian football reach international standards.

BMFC Managing Director Krishnendu Sen, while speaking to UNI said they were in the process of setting up a good football complex with all the facilities like motels, food plazas, gymnasiums, community hall along with the state-of-the-art stadium where there would be matches every weekend.

''We have spotted a place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to set up this complex and accordingly we will make it one of the prime sports and entertainment locations. After its completion, we will hold matches every weekend and maybe also bring in some foreign teams from time to time so that Mumbaikars and Puneites can enjoy their weekend with a complete entertainment package.'' ''This is the only way if we have to take football forward as in the present day no one would like to come to a stadium to watch just a match, but if you give them these added benefits then the crowds would come to enjoy a great weekend to unwind,'' Sen added.
