Five Bangladeshis arrested

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) Police today claimed to have arrested five Bangladeshis planning to commit dacoity at a jewellery shop in Vasant Kunj area of South-West Delhi.

The accused, aged between 19-27 years, were arrested from the DDA Park in Vasant Kunj yesterday evening, according to the police.

A revolver, a country-made pistol and tool for breaking locks were recovered from them.

During day time they would work as rag pickers and survey the area where they planned to rob and later plan their course of action.

Panic spreads after cutting Holy tree

NHPC readying for disinvestment

Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) The public-sector power-generating major NHPC is also readying itself for disinvestment, its Chairman and Managing Director S K Garg said here today. ''The Centre has alerted us in this regard though the details have to be hammered out. Until 2012, Rs 59 crore will be invested in various NHPC projects.
