Ten members of family fall ill after drinking contaminated water

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Ten members of a single family took ill after drinking contaminated water at Huilgol village in Gadag district of Karnataka.

Police said all the ten ate cucumber and drank water from a pond in their field and later on returning home, they all fell unconscious. While three were treated at the Gadag District Hospital, the rest were shifted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here.

Jabalpur, July 18 (UNI) A man was arrested on the charge of duping a person of Rs 5.50 lakh in the name of providing jobs to three people of a ticket collector (TC) in Railways, police said. Rajendra Prasad Singh lodged a complaint that Nityanand Ojha (48) assured to provide a TC's job upon spending some money.
