Siddaramaiah likely to join Congress on July 29

Bangalore, July 18: Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and All India Progressive Janata Dal (AIPJD) Siddharamaiah is likely to join the Congress in New Delhi on July 29.

AIPJD sources said Mr Siddharamaiah, who had made futile attempts to resign his membership in the State Assembly, had decided to send his papers to the Speaker's office and leave for New Delhi to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Besides Mr Siddharamaiah, a few other AIPJD leaders, including former Lok Sabha member P Kodandaramaiah, C M Ibrahim and former Rajya Sabha member Lakshmi Sagar, would also be joining the Congress, the sources added.

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) An aspiring model today filed a complaint with the social service branch (SSB) of Mumbai police against a film producer for allegedly releasing some of her ''objectionable'' photographs to a magazine for publication, ''without her consent.''
