Shriram Sena protests against conversions in Tirupati

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Activists of Shriram Sena here today held a protest rally as part of the 'Save Tirupati - Eradicate Terrorism' campaign and burnt effigies of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy.

They took out a protest march through the main streets of the city and burnt the effigies at Chennamma circle.

Addressing the protestors, Sena leader Pramod Acharya condemned the alleged Christian conversions at Tirupati and warned of intensifying the stir if the Andhra Pradesh Government failed to control the conversion efforts.

Inebriated father kills three kids

Jamshedpur, Jul 18 (UNI) In a ghastly incident an inebriated person axed his three children to death after being denied money for Handia (a tribal intoxicant) at Jojobera village under Manjhari police station area in West Singhbhum district on Sunday night. Police today said Jojo Kunkal, the alleged murderer, has been arrested. Sources said Jojo became angry after his wife refused to give him Rs two for his drink and attacked her with a sharp.....

Telgi demands better medical facilities

Pune, July 18 (UNI) Prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam, Abdul Karim Telgi who was admitted to a government run Sassoon Hospital yesterday has demanded better medical facilities, including admission in a private hospital. Telgi's lawyer Milind Pawar told UNI that Telgi was admitted after he vomited blood yesterday and is presently undergoing several tests.
