Vadodara, July 18 (UNI) Selection committee chairman Kiran More today said he was happy with the Indian team physio John Gloster declaring Sachin Tendulkar fit, ahead of the triangular series in Sri Lanka.

''There is no need for Sachin to undergo any further fitness tests as earlier scheduled for July 19,'' More said.

More further said, Sachin, who was now available for his selection for the forthcoming tri-series, had proved his fitness with his brilliant performance in England where he played five one-dayer as well as one Twenty20.

Welcoming the batting maestro's return to team India after a four-month lay off due to his shoulder injury, the Selection Committee Chief said, ''Sachin is a great player and I myself am a fan of Sachin.'' More said the selection of the Indian squad for the triangular one-day series in Sri Lanka, which also involves South Africa, would be announced on July 30 in Mumbai.

More also congratulated both local lad Irfan Pathan and Yuvraj Singh for being nominated for the prestigious Arjuna award.
