Reliance Capital Q1 net spurs 219 pc to Rs 94.53 crore

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Reliance Capital has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 94.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 29.62 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a jump of 219.14 per cent.

Announcing the results, the Company informed BSE that its total income has increased from Rs 65.59 crore in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 132.42 crore for Q1 FY 06-07.

As per the Consolidated Results, the Group has posted a Net Profit after Minority Interest and Share of Profit of Associates of Rs 113.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 (Q1 FY 06-07) as compared to Rs 37.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 (Q1 FY 05-06). Income from Operations has increased from Rs 137.17 crore in Q1 FY 05-06 to Rs 356.19 crore for Q1 FY 06-07.

Putin employs ATC to hunt Russian diplomats murderers in Iraq

Moscow, July 18 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin has placed the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (ATC) in charge of coordinating the efforts of Russian special services, to track down and eliminate the murderers of Russian diplomats in Iraq.
