One more person arrested in NRI murder case

Rajkot, July 18 (UNI) One more person has been arrested from the city in connection with the sensational murder of NRI, Pankaj Trivedi.

So far eight persons have been arrested in the murder case.

According to police, Chandrakant Daki, a Rajkot-based member of Swadhiyay Pariwar whose name also emerged in the murder of NRI, Pankaj Trivedi, was arrested by Ahmedabad police from his residence yesterday.

Trivedi was clubbed to death by assaliants who were armed with a baseball bat and iron rods. The murder took place outside Ellisbridge Gymkhana club at Ahmedabad on June 15.

Forest dept's work in Orchha will be investigated: Minister

Bhopal, July 18 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Himmat Kothari today informed the legislative assembly that the work being done by the Forest Department at tourist spot Orchha in Tikamgarh would be investigated. As the matter was raised by Mr Brajendra Singh Rathore (Congress) during question hour, Mr Kothari expressed dissatisfaction over the work and said a senior officer from the state capital would be sent to carry out a detailed inquiry. Heavy rains lash North Orissa

Bhubaneswar, July 18 (UNI) Heavy rains lashed several parts of North Orissa, while moderate rains occurred in coastal and South Orissa during the last 24 hours. Meteorological Office sources today said that there is a possibility of rains and thundershowers in the state capital during the next 24 hours. Pantograph and Jashipur recorded the highest rainfall (five cms) followed by Thakurmunda (three cms) and Akhuapada (two cms). Met sources said the monsoon is no more active.....
