'No fresh obligations in the Indo-US N-deal'

New Delhi, July 18: As the Indo-US Nuclear agreement completes one year, India today said it would not accept fresh obligations to the deal nor had there been any.

Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma said ''there are no additional obligations (to the deal) which India has accepted.'' Addressing a joint press conference with Ecuador Foreign Minister Francisco Carrion Mena after their talks here, Mr Sharma said the deal had to be implemented on the basis of reciprocity.

Mr Sharma was asked about the concerns expressed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to US President George Bush during their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G-8 Summit at St. Petersburg.

He said the Prime Minister had indicated that India would not accept any fresh obligations.

Pakistan to import Indian farm machinery

Barnala, July 18 (UNI) Pakistan will import farm machinery, particularly combine harvestors, from India through the Wagah border. A local company, Standard Combines and Tractors have tied up with All Corporation of Pakistan to export combines and tractors. Asom gas cracker's registered office should be in Asom: MP

US producer prices up 0.5 pct on food, core tame

WASHINGTON, July 18 (Reuters) U.S. producer prices rose a steeper-than-expected 0.5 percent last month as food prices posted their biggest gain in more than 2-1/2 years, but prices outside of food and energy rose just 0.2 percent, the government said on Tuesday. The rise in the producer price index - a measure of prices received by farms, factories and refineries -- outstripped expectations on Wall Street for just a 0.3 percent gain, but the increase.....
