Nickel prices shot up by Rs 30 per kg

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Nickel cathode prices shot up by Rs 30 per kg on increase of fresh demand, according to traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today.

In ferrous section, copper utensils prices declined by Rs 300 per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.

In non-ferrous section, copper wire bars and aluminium ingots prices increased by Rs 300 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on reduced stock supply. Nickel cathode shot up by Rs 30 per kg on increase of fresh demand.

Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,000, Copper utensils - Rs 33,500, Brass utensils - Rs 23,000, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,900, Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,600.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,100, Zinc slab - Rs 19,000, Lead ingots - Rs 6,200, Tin slab - Rs 495 (per kg), Nickel cathode - Rs 1,350 (per kg).

Reliance Capital Q1 net spurs 219 pc to Rs 94.53 crore

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Reliance Capital has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 94.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 29.62 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a jump of 219.14 per cent.
