NeSt plans to expand operations

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 18 (UNI) The Nest group of companies is planning to expand operations and has acquired more space in Technopark.

The IT arm of the Rs 640 crore company would also increase its strength of professionals from 800 to 1,500 by this year end, a release from the company said today.

After signing the agreement with Mr V J Jayakumar, CEO, Technopark its Managing Director Jehangir said ''our facility in Technopark alone will have capacity to house more than 3,000 professionals.'' The 300,000 Sq ft intelligent building with state of the art facilities would be commissioned here by the end of 2007, he said.

On the future expansion project of the company, Mr Jahangir said the company's IT division had diversified competence into areas like process control, embedded systems, multimedia, broadband technologies had it over seas presence at USA Canada, UK, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

The company now has multliple software development centres in Technopark, Cochin Export Processing Zone and Bangalore, he said.

With its expertise in cutting edge technologies and domains like VLSI, Embedded solutions, Medical Imaging and Automatyion, NeST had established its position as the preferred vendor for several Fortune 100 companies looking for outsourcing its software requirements to India, it added.
