Murder suspect's house set on fire

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Jul 18 (UNI) The house of a prime suspect in the murder of three Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists was set on fire at Garishanapally village in Bathula mandal today.

It may be recalled that yesterday, bombs were hurled at a group belonging to Telugu Desam Party, by their rivals at Bathula Mandal.

In the attack, three TDP activist were killed. They were identified as Venkatnarayana, Yellappa and Ramesh.

Today a post-mortem was conducted on the bodies at Dharmavaram hospital and they were later brought to Garishanapally village. The moment the bodies reached the village, some local residents became emotional and set fire to the house of Srinivas Reddy, who is the prime suspect in the murder, according to police.

Since the murder Srinivas Reddy's family locked the house and left the village. As a result, there is no loss of life. However, there is tension in the village.

Simplex bags AAI orders

Hexaware posts 53% increase in Q2FY07 net profit

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Hexaware Technologies Ltd today posted a 53 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 20.8 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 15.14 crore for the corresponding period last year. The company's board has declared an interim dividend of 2.95 per cent per annum on Preference Shares, and 40 per cent (Re 0.80 per share) on equity shares of Rs 2 for the six.....
