Kirtikar retained as President of Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti

Mumbai, Jul 18 (UNI) Shiv Sena Chief whip Gajanan Kirtikar has been reappointed as the president of Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti Mahasangh, an outfit of Shiv Sena working for the local people's plights in jobs.

A release issued from Mr Kirtikar's office stated that Mr Anandrao Adsul, MP has been reappointed as the working president while Anil Desai has been appointed as the general secretary of the Mahasangh.

The appointments were made by sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray as per the directions from sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray yesterday, a release added.

The Mahasangh has got its network spread in many banks, LIC and other organisations and is considered as the backbone of shiv sena.

Raytheon demonstrates GAGAN at Farnborough

Bangalore, July 18 (UNI) The US defence major Raytheon company has successfully completed the Preliminary System Acceptance Test for the GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation-Technology Demonstration System (GAGAN-TDS) for aircraft navigation. State Transport Corpns to buy 3,000 buses: Nehru

Kancheepuram, July 18 (UNI) State transport corporations in Tamil Nadu will purchase over 3,000 buses, Transport Minister K N Nehru today announced. Speaking to reporters after a review meeting here with officials, Mr Nehru said while the State Express Transport Corporation will purchase about 900 buses, the other transport undertakings will procure 2,230 new buses.
