Hindustan Zinc Q1 net jumps up 490 pc to Rs 874 crore

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Hindustan Zinc has posted a net profit of Rs 874.0 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 148.0 crore for the same quarter last fiscal, showing a jump of 490 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 544.0 crore in Q1 FY-06 to Rs 1,657 crore for Q1 FY-07.
