HDFC Q1 net up 20 per cent to Rs 296.82 crore

Mumbai, Jul 18: The Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) has posted a net profit of Rs 296.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 247.28 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, an increase of 20.03 per cent, company sources said today.

Announcing the results, the company's total income has increased from Rs 934.76 crore in Q1 of FY 2005-06 to Rs 1,248.53 crore in Q1 of FY 2006-07.

Black Eyed Peas India tour postponed

Bangalore, July 18 (UNI) The tour management of Black Eyed Peas today announced that their concerts, scheduled to be held in Mumbai and Bangalore on August two and three, have been postponed. Bangalore, July 18 (UNI) TTK Prestige Limited, the largest provider of kitchen appliances in the country, today announced a record turnover of Rs 72.18 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal, up by 59 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
