Haryana basmati for Mumbai

Chandigarh, July 18 (UNI) The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (HAFED) will introduce steamed basmati, par boiled basmati, sarbati rice and graded broken rice in the markets of Mumbai and other towns.

This was revealed in a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to review the working of the Cooperation Department here today.

It was informed in the meeting that there was also a plan to set up a modern rice mill at Taraori, the basmati belt of Haryana.

This export oriented unit would be set up at a cost of Rs 10.50 crore and rice/basmati shelled by this mill would be exported.

Civic's craze was behind drop in City's sale, says HSCI

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCI), the leader in premium car segment, has attributed the poor domestic sales of its popular 'City' model to the ''craze for Honda 'Civic' in India''. Leading the Premium (A5) segment with the flagship model 'City', HSCI domestic sales during June had a steep fall by 56.92 per cent to 112 units as against 260 sold during same month last year. GSI confirms of traces of coal in Tripura

Agartala, July (UNI) The Geological Survey of India's (GSI) Tripura-Mizoram regional office has confirmed of finding a coal mine in Tripura's remote village under Khowai sub-divison in west district. Quoting the GSI, state Rural Development Minister Jitendra Chowdhury told newsmen last night that the ''black gold'' in lignite form was found in Tulasikhar block's Jamadarbari area. The mineral of lignite variety, first found by the villagers, could be used in thermal power projects, railway.....
