Blue Star, ISA tie-up to provide food refrigeration

New Delhi, July 18: Blue Star Ltd, India's leading central airconditioning manufacturer, today announced it has entered into a strategic alliance with Italy's ISA, for providing a wide range of Supermarket and food refrigeration solutions.

Under the agreement, ISA products will be imported and sold under the Blue Star-ISA co-brand, and a subsequent stage, the company will explore manufacturing of a limited range of ISA products in India in partnership from ISA.

''Organised Retail, in the form of Supermarkets and convenient stores will bring about a massive transformation in the way food products are procured, stored and sold in India. Supermarkets in general use a lot of refrigeration equipment, and Blue Star is gearing itself up aggressively to tackle the emerging supermarket opportunities,'' Bluestar Executive Director TGS Babu said.

Huge investments have been announced by Indian corporates such as Reliance, Fortune, Bhartis, TATAs, to tackle the retail end as well as the back end of the supermarkets, he added.

The company currently manufactures Modular Cold Rooms and Chest Type Deep Freezers at its Bharuch plant. With the addition of the ISA range, Blue Star will have a complete basket of solutions for supermarket and quick food service.

ISA is a leading Italian manufacturer of retail refrigeration equipment, and manufactures and market a wide range of refrigerated showcases and cabinets for supermarkets. It also has an impressive range of Display-cum-Serving Cabinets for Ice Cream merchandising, besides a popular range of gastronome equipment for quick food service.

ISA's products are exported to 72 countries all over the world, and its customers include world-famous food and beverage industries including Coca Cola, Nestle and Unilever.

Dialogue with Pakistan has suffered: Manmohan

Shriram Sena protests against conversions in Tirupati

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Activists of Shriram Sena here today held a protest rally as part of the 'Save Tirupati - Eradicate Terrorism' campaign and burnt effigies of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy. They took out a protest march through the main streets of the city and burnt the effigies at Chennamma circle. Woman poisons ten members of family

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Frustrated with petty quarrels in the family, a housewife has allegedly poisoned ten members of the family at Huilgol village in Gadag district of Karnataka. Police said today that earlier it was suspected that all the ten members of the family took ill after they ate cucumber and drank contaminated water from a pond in their fields. However, on investigation, it was concluded by the police that it was a case.....
