AFL launches fixed price courier 'WiZ Express'

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) AFL Private Ltd, a logistics solutions provider has launched 'WiZ Express', a retail courier product providing accessibility to the retail customer.

''The launch of the WiZ will revolutionise the courier industry in India. By creating a fixed price product and using a non-traditional distribution route, we hope to improve our brand outreach,'' AFL Private Ltd's Express Division Business Head Sanjoy Roy said.

Customers have to pay Rs 60 for a courier delivery in India for documents weighing up to 250g.

The new feature of this is the confirmation of the delivery given through SMS on the customer's mobile, if any.

The WiZ brand, initially launched in Mumbai is available in over 300 outlets.

PTC net profit up 6% for Q1FY07

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) PTC India, formerly known as Power Trading Corporation of India, today registered a 6 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 12.01 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30,2006 as against Rs 11.31 crore in the same period of the last fiscal. The company posted 136 per cent growth in its total income at Rs 1049.97 crore as against Rs 443.97 for the corresponding quarter last year......

Dialogue with Pakistan has suffered: Manmohan

On Board Air India One, July 18: Admitting that the dialogue process with Pakistan has suffered following the July 11 blasts in Mumbai, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said it is time India ''reflected'' on its relationship with Islamabad.''For the time being, the dialogue process has suffered (but) I would not say it is a setback,'' he told reporters, while returning from the G8 summit in St Petersburg.''Look at the options... it is inevitable we should reflect on.....

Shriram Sena protests against conversions in Tirupati

Hubli, July 18 (UNI) Activists of Shriram Sena here today held a protest rally as part of the 'Save Tirupati - Eradicate Terrorism' campaign and burnt effigies of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy. They took out a protest march through the main streets of the city and burnt the effigies at Chennamma circle. Addressing the protestors, Sena leader Pramod Acharya condemned the alleged Christian conversions at Tirupati.....
