Babulal Gaur to reverse tax relaxation

Gwalior, June 30 : Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur has warned traders to reduce prices of commodities in view of relaxation in various forms of taxes after the implementation the Value Added Tax (VAT) in the state.''Fifty-three products were made tax-free, while tax had been reduced from nine and 12 per cent in 123 products to four per cent.Similarly, tax on gold, silver and jewellery had been brought to one per cent,'' Mr Gaur told reporters.....

Govt to formulate projects for revival of sick PSUs:Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, June 30 (UNI) Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem told the State Assembly today that the Government would formulate projects for the revival of sick Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in the State. Rawatbhata's fifth unit to become critical from Mar next year

Kota, June 30 (UNI) The underconstruction fifth unit of Rawatbhata Atomic Power Plant (RAPP) will become critical from March 2007. The sixth unit of RAPP is expected to become critical from February, 2008. RAPP's director S P Jhamb said all efforts are being made to complete the construction of these units before time to ensure cost saving and also to start production of power as early as possible.
