Sonia to visit Bhopal on July 3

Bhopal, June 29 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi will arrive in the state capital on a day-long visit on July 3.

A Congress workers' meeting -- chaired by Madhya Pradesh Congress President Subhash Yadav -- discussed about the programmes being organised during Ms Gandhi's visit.

Party leaders inspected the venue -- Ravindra Bhawan -- besides looking into the arrangements.

Congress sources said Ms Gandhi would take part in the inauguration ceremony of a school run by a Hindi newspaper group.

Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi, party vice-president Rameshwar Neekhra and party general secretary were among others present during the meeting.

Agri experts verify rat menace in Mizoram

Aizawl, Jun 29 : Agriculture experts reviewed the ground situation in the remote villages in west Mizoram following reports of growing rat population owing to bamboo flowering.According to the reports, a remote village called Radali Zodin in the Kolasib district was facing rat menace. Sensex recovers, opens up by 65 points

Mumbai, June 29 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex today opened up by 65 points at 10,193.94 as compared to the previous close of 10,129.70. The firm Asian markets inspired the sentiments of the investors, and led them into buying mood.
