"I am not against Expressway": Kumaraswamy

New Delhi, June 16 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today sought to dispel the impression that his government was against Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project, given absence of any representative at the inauguration ceremony of the project.

Taking part in the 'Walk The Talk' programme with NDTV, the Chief Minister however admitted things were not smooth yet. ''Some issued needed to be worked out,'' he said.

Asked if he was stalling the BMIC project cleared by the Supreme Court, Mr Kumaraswamy denied the charge, saying he would do what the legal experts advise me on the issue''.

To a question if he was against the project, he replied that he was not against any development work. It is just that in this case there was some sort of (problems), he claimed.

''Asked about his father and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda's favourite expression 'land grabbing', the Chief Minister replied that it was his view also. There were some issues to be sorted out,'' he noted.

''No, I am not against the project'' was his reply to a pointed suggestion on whether he was against the project or not.

US stock futures point flat; Oracle, Microsoft eyed

Putin seeks to calm speculation over his successor
