SREI Board recommends 16.5 pc dividend

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) The Board of SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd has recommended a dividend of 16.5 per cent or Rs 1.65 per share on equity shares of the company, SREI informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.

This is, however, subject to approval of shareholders at the company's ensuing annual general meeting, it added.

Kolkata, May 22 (UNI) India's leading infrastructure finance company Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd today reported 71 per cent increase in its net profit for the fiscal ended March 31, 2006, at Rs 48.42 crore compared to Rs 28.30 crore in the corresponding period previous year. Patna, May 22 (UNI) A former manager of a nationalised bank and a businessman were today convicted in a case of cheating and corruption by special CBI judge of Patna Ramanand Sharma. The designated judge found former manager of Maheshkhunt branch of State Bank of India S N Jha and a supplier of agricultural equipment Anand Kumar Thakur guilty of corruption and cheating under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption.....
