Russia, EU to sign relaxed visa, readmission agreements on May 25

Moscow, May 22 (UNI) Moscow will sign two agreements on a relaxed visa and readmission regime at the Russia-EU summit in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on May 25.

''Concerning agreements on a relaxed visa regime and readmission, we are preparing them for signing,'' Russian Ambassador to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov told Interfax news agency today.

Mr Chizov said much-expected visa regulations will be simplified for individual categories of citizens, including students, researchers, politicians, diplomats and businessmen.

''Both agreements will take effect on the day of signing and will then be ratified by both parties. Our optimistic forecast indicates we will manage to do this before the end of the year,'' he said.

Former SG's admonition tyrannical: BJP

Shabir too rejects round-table conference invitation

Srinagar, May 22 (UNI) Rejecting the invitation for second round of the round-table conference called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on May 24-25, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) today dismissed the conclave as an attempt to ''buy time.''
