Rajnath Singh appoints incharges of various cells

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Reconstituting his team, BJP President Rajnath Singh today appointed incharges of various cells, retaining party General Secretary Arun Jaitley as incharge of media and Yashwant Sinha as incharge of External Affairs.

Another General Secretary Anant Kumar will look after Elections and Sahyog, while Balasaheb Apte will hold charge of training partymen.

Other heads include Rajiv P Rudy (Industry, Trade and Commerce), Arif Mohammad Khan (NGOs), Pyarelal Khandelwal (Cooperatives), Shatrughan Sinha (Culture), Bandaru Dattatreya (Animal Husbandry), Vijay Bhai Girkar (Slum Dwellers), Ram Naik (Fishermen), Mr K S Sangwan (Panchayat Raj), Mrs Kiran Maheshwari (Urban Local Bodies), V Shanmukhnathan (Documentation, Defence and Ex-servicemen), Pyarelal Khandelwal (Full-time Worker Coordination) and Chetan Chauhan (Sports).

Fair polls not possible under Mulayam regime: Apna Dal

Allahabad, May 22 (UNI) Apna Dal today alleged that free and fair elections to Uttar Pradesh assembly were not possible under the regime of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. Sudan prisoner release opens way for eastern talks

KHARTOUM, May 22 (Reuters) Sudan has released three members of the east's main political party, a key opposition demand before peace talks can be held in neighbouring Eritrea to end the simmering revolt, a party official said today.
