Raje launches Bisalpur-Dudu water project

Jaipur, May 22 (UNI) Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia launched the Bisalpur-Dudu water project today under the month-long Jal Chetna yatra.

With this launch, Dudu will now get drinking water from the Bisalpur dam through a pipeline, alleviating the drinking water problems of the region.

With the steadily receding ground water levels, the area is facing dearth of water. The only way to tide over the problem is to harvest rainwater through dams and building other storage structures.

The Bisalpur dam is expected to solve the water woes of the region and water will be brought to Jaipur soon.

The Asian Development Bank is funding the project through the state government's Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project. The Public Health Engineering Department is laying the distribution line for water supply.
