Petrol pump looted

Pusa, May 22 (UNI) Criminals looted Rs. three lakhs from a petrol filling station in broad daylight at Mathurapur in Samastipur today.

Police said that motorcycle borne criminals shot and injured the cashier and escaped in two motorcycles with the cash.

The injured cashier was shifted to Patna Medical College and Hospital in critical condition and efforts were on to nab the criminals, police added.

Bangladeshi dies in Bengal, 65 deported

Krishnagar, May 22 (UNI) A Bangladeshi resident, who along with 67 others, was deported from India to Bangladesh, died due to heart attack near Kalyani in Nadia district, BSF sources said here today. BSF sources said while the 191 Battalion Force was deporting them Abdul Lal Mia, a resident of Khulna, died in a car. At least 68 Bangladeshis were arrested last week from New Delhi by police. Over 70 per cent clear HS science exam in Asom

Guwahati, May 22 (UNI) Over 70 per cent pass percentage was recorded in today's class XII examination results of science stream, conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). The top position in the ten state ranks declared by the Council was grabbed by Salt Brooke Academy, Dibrugarh, while Cotton College, Guwahati, had six students in the top ranks.
