NDA passing out parade on May 31

Pune, May 22 (UNI) Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Arun Prakash will review the Passing Out Parade (POP) of cadets at the National Defence Academy (NDA) here on May 31.

As many as 332 cadets will pass out after having successfully completed their training, NDA Commandant A K Chopra said here today.

Earlier, on May 30, the passing out students will be conferred degrees of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in a convocation ceremony. JNU Vice Chancellor Prof B B Bhattacharya will be the chief guest for the convocation function.

Rourkela, May 22 (UNI) Dreaded inter-state criminal Rajan Sanyasi and his associate Mahendra Tanti were arrested by a special police team of Sundergarh at Bagichapada, about 40 kms from here, yesterday, police said today. Police said Rajan was arrested after an encounter in which he sustained bullet injuries on his leg and body. He was taken to the Sundargarh Hospital for treatment. Allahabad, May 22 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today dismissed the petition filed by BSP MP from Azamgarh Rama Kant Yadav for the quashing of FIR and stay of arrest in a criminal case.
