Japanese team arrives for week-long training in B'lore

Bangalore, May 22 (UNI) Japan Football team (U20), selected to participate in the Asian Youth (U20) Championship, will be arriving here tonight to undergo a week-long training.

In a release here today, Karnataka State Football Association Honarary Deputy General Secretary Amjad Khan said the visiting team would be playing three exhibition matches--two against India (U20) on May 25 and 28--and one against the local HAL team on May 26.

The Championship, being hosted by India for the first time, was scheduled to be played in Kolkata and Bangalore during October/November. Final Round Group 'C' and 'D' matches would be played in Bangalore.

Cops yet to make headway in Rekha Jadeja murder case

BJP flays CM for comments on Mumbai's issues

Mumbai,May 22 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP today criticised Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh for his reported comments that responsibility of Mumbai lies with the civic corporation and not with the State Government.
