IIM-B not for increase in admissions

Bangalore, May 22 (UNI) The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), has ruled out enhancing the student strength beyond the planned intake for the next academic year.

IIM-B Director Prakash G Apte told UNI that the Institute had already approved to increase the strength to 300 from the current level of 260. ''It's a planned increase...beyond this it will be difficult.'' He said though physical infrastructure was not a problem, the Institute was facing shortage in faculty strength. Hence it was not going to be easy to enhance the strength further.

Omar summons NC executive committee meeting

Srinagar, May 22 (UNI) National Conference (NC) President Omar Abdullah has summoned a two-day central executive committee meeting here tomorrow.
