Gold, silver crash in future trading

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Prices of gold and silver crashed in the future trading on poor speculative demand by bearish operators, traders at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) today said.

Gold was quoted low at USD 645.30/646.50 per troy ounce, while silver was quoted low at USD 12.15/12.27 per troy ounce at the closing in the global markets, they added.

Lalu demands production of all original documents

Patna, May 22 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, through a petition, demanded the special CBI judge of Patna Munilal Paswan to direct the investigating agency to produce original documents on basis of which the chargesheet was filed against him in a multi-crore fodder scam. D P Yadav given eight weeks to find Bharti's whereabouts

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Former Rajya Sabha member D P Yadav was today given eight weeks time to tell a sessions court the whereabouts of his daughter Bharti Yadav, a key witness in the Nitish Katara murder case. Ms Yadav, summoned to testify as a prosecution witness, was believed to have been working as a staff nurse in England, but her father at Ghaziabad has been unable to produce her before the court for over.....

Bihar flood relief scam: Bail refused to Bhagwan Lal Jha

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) The Supreme Court today declined to grant anticipatory bail to Bhagwan Lal Jha allegedly involved in multi- crore Bihar Flood Relief scam. A vacation bench comprising Mr. Justices Arijit Pasayat and R.V. Raveendran permitted the petitioner who is the father of the main accused Santosh Kumar Jha to withdraw his petition. Petitioner's counsel M.P. Jha prayed for permission to withdraw the petition as Patna high court has granted.....
