GMCH closes OPD to strengthen emergency services

Chandigarh, May 22 (UNI) The Government Medical College and Hospital here has decided to close the OPD services due to involvement of medical students and junior doctors in anti-reservation stir.

The Director-Principal of the GMCH in a press release issued here today said, ''As it is not feasible to run routine OPDs due to joining of interns and junior doctors in strike, therefore, it has been decided to close the OPD services from tommorow.'' However, emergency services would be strengthened by deploying all the faculty members in emergency, he added.

He said as OPD services would remain closed, therefore, emergency services would be strengthened with extra manpower.

Robbery in summer special train in Bihar

Patwari convicted for demanding bribe to manipulate land records
