Datamatics Tech Board recommends 25 pc dividend

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) The Board of IT major Datamatics Technologies (DTL) has recommended a final dividend of 25 per cent for FY-06, a company release to the BSE informed today.

The company's board has also approved one new employee stock option plan viz. key ESOP, 2006. This scheme will be placed before the shareholders at the 18th annual general meeting of the company for their approval, the communique added.

12 candidates file nomination for K'taka Council elections

Bangalore, May 22 (UNI) A dozen candidates, including Council Chairman V R Sudarshan (Congress), have filed their nominations for the June one election to the Karnataka Legislative Council from the State Assembly to fill 11 seats. The ruling coalition partners, Janata Dal (S) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the main opposition Congress have nominated four candidates each for the biennial elections to the upper house. OBC quota: Medicos stage demo, relay fast enters Day 4

Mysore, May 22 (UNI) Hundreds of medical and engineering students and junior doctors stage a demonstration in front of the K R hospital, even as the relay fast by medicos, in protest against the Centre's move to reserve 27 per cent of the seats for OBCs in higher education, entered the fourth day today. The anti-reservation agitation entered the seventh day in the city today and the medicos said the agitation would continue till they got.....

Three arrested with country-made pistols

Jamnagar, May 22 (UNI) District police have arrested three villagers along with two illegally kept country-made pistols here. Police Inspector H C Joshi seized a pistol from Naranbhai Meragbhai Chavda (50) of Mota Asoda village while he was moving under suspicious condition on Jamnagar-Khambhalia Highway. On interrogation, Chavda told police that he had bought the pistol from Nathubhai Maldevbhai Nandania, who in turn admitted to have sold another country-made pistol to his brother Gagabhai Maldevbhai.....
