Chopra finishes tied 40th at the Colonial

Fort Worth, Texas, May 22: A birdie on the fifth was the only highlight of the day for Daniel Chopra as he carded a second successive two-over 72 to finish tied 40th in the six million dollar Bank of America Colonial tournament here.

Chopra signed off with a four-day total of two-under 278 -- 10 shots behind winner Tim Herron of America, who claimed the title after winning the playoff against Swede Richard S Johnson at the par-70 Colonial Country Club.

Chopra had a disappointing day as his form dropped and the Indian-born Swede bogeyed three holes between the ninth and 14th to slip from yesterday's tied 24th.

Meanwhile, Korean KJ Choi (274) saved his best for the last as he carded a blemish-free seven-under 70 -- studded with seven birdies -- to finish at a creditable tied 17th after starting the day at tied 57th.

At the top half of the table, overnight leader Australian Rod Pampling (270) finished third with a consecutive level-par round and defending champion American Kenny Perry (277) was at a disappointing tied 37th after a one-over final round.
