Kumaraswamy Govt bungling on all fronts: Sindhia

Bangalore, May 19 (UNI) Accusing the H D Kumaraswamy-led JD(S)-BJP coalition Government of bungling on all fronts, former Minister and senior Janata Dal (Secular) leader P G R Sindhia today claimed that the ''unholy'' alliance would not last long.

However, Mr Sindhia, who was talking to mediapersons here said he did not wish the Government to fall as neither the public nor the political parties wanted an early election.

Maintaining that he was still with the JD(S) and former Prime Minister and JD(S) President H D Deve Gowda was his leader, Mr Sindhia blasted the coalition Government for not effectively handling the Common Entrance Test issue and over the transfer of officials. The official machinery had come to a virtual standstill and the bureaucracy was not implementing any decisions, he alleged.

Calling on the Government must ''correct'' itself, he said his decision to keep away from the rebel JD(S) Legislators was appreciated by party national leaders, including Member of Parliament Veerendra Kumar of Kerala, Mr Surinder Mohan and Mr Bapu Kaldate.

''I still recognise (former Deputy Chief Minister) M P Prakash as the Legislature Party leader,'' he said, adding that he would take up the disciplinary action initiated by the party against the rebel Legislators, led by Mr Kumaraswamy, for aligning with the BJP and forming an alternate Government after dethroning the Congress-JD(S) coalition Government.
