Cabinet expansion before May 15: Kumaraswamy

Hadagali,Karnataka, May 6 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said Cabinet expansion will be taken up before May 15.

However, declining to announce the date, Mr Kumaraswamy said, ''exact date I cannot say but the expansion will be positively done before May 15,'' he added.

He said appointment of Chairmen for various Boards and Corporations would be taken up after Parliament decides on the issue of holding 'office of profit' in its next session.

Mr Kumaraswamy, who arrived here to launch various developmental programmes in the Bellary District, was speaking to newspersons at the Helipad.

Admitting that the delimitation of constituencies was unscientific, Mr Kumaraswamy said he would soon write to Kuldip Singh Committee conveying displeasure expressed by leaders and people representatives on the manner in which the process had been taken up.

Airtel launches mobile services in Manipur

Imphal, May 6 (UNI) Telecom major, Bharti Airtel Ltd (formerly known as Bharti Tele-Ventues Ltd), today officially launched its mobile services in Manipur.Initially, only the capital city will be covered. PCB urges Pak govt to give it control of intenational stadiums
