Naushad, an artiste unparalleled, says Kumaraswamy

Bangalore, May 5 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Rahman Khan and Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today expressed profound grief over the demise of legendary music director Naushad Ali.

In his message, Mr Khan said ''Mr Ali was one of the greatest music directors of Indian cinma. It was due to his zest and dedication that he introduced the concept of sound mixing and separate recording of voice and music tracks in playback singing for the first time in Bollywood.'' Citing some of Mr Ali's major hits such as Mughal-e-Azam, Mother India and Baiju Bawara, Mr Khan said ''In his death, the nation has lost a great personality.'' In his message, Mr Kumaraswamy said ''Mr Ali had taken Indian classical music to international levels. He had magnificently blended folk music with classical music and with a rare mixture of the nuances of Western classical style produced a unique genre of music which is pluralistic. He was an artiste unparalleled.'' The Padma Bhushan awardee was unique in very sense, he added.

Wonder Kid Budhia taken to Hospital for check up
