Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Rogers&Company, a 106 years old service provider of Mauritius, has identified India as its first step towards overseas expansion programme and earmaked a sum of over USD 100 million for investments in India.

A team of top executives led by CEO Philippe Espitaler Noel recently visited Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala and Goa to explore the possibility of identifying Joint Venture partners to set up atleast five mid-size hotel properties in these states.

The initiative was taken by the largest corporate house of Mauritius with the signing of economic ties between the two nations during the visit of Prime Minister Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam five months ago.

The economic agreement also envisaged the options of making the Indian rupee a free float currency in Mauritius without any official barier.

''We intend to invest about USD 100 million in atleast five potential joint ventures to develop a range of hotels in India'', Mr Noel told UNI here.

Rogers is the founder of the largest Beachcomber Group of Hotels in Mauritius and has developed a chain of 7 hotels in the three-star segments.

HSCI sales up 27.3 per cent in April 2006

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCI), manufacturer of Honda City and Honda Accord, recorded a growth of 27.3 per cent having sold 4,551 units in April 2006 as against 3,575 units in the corresponding period last year. HSCI's cumulative sales rose by 22 per cent at 17,430 units from 14,275 units during January-April 2006 for the same period last year. New VP for Satyam

Hyderabad, May 1 (UNI) Satyam Computer Services today announced the appointment of industry veteran Dr Robert ''Bob'' Baginski as its Senior Vice President for Global Marketing and Communications. Dr Baginski will lead Satyam's marketing, communications, and branding initiatives worldwide. Jet net up by 61 per cent in 4Q

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Jet Airways Limited has recorded a net profit jump of 71 per cent to Rs 230 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2006 while profit before tax was up by 68 per cent at Rs 360 crore. The Board of the company declared a dividend payment of Rs 6 per share. The revenue during the quarter improved by 61 per cent to Rs 1970 crore. For the year 2005-06, the Airline's profit went.....
