RMC to support AIADMK

Vellore, Tamil Nadu, May 1 (UNI) The Rajiv Makkal Congress (RMC) has decided to support the ruling AIADMK Front in the May eight elections to the State Assembly.

In a statement here today, Party Founder-President A G Narasimhan said the RMC propoganda committee comprising party office bearers led by Women's Wing Secretary Banumathi Narasimhan had already campaigned in support of the AIADMK front in several places including Vellore, Hosur, Katpadi, Vaniyambadi, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri,Salem.

He said the committee will concentrate on all the constituencies in Chennai city for three days continiously from May four by undertaking a massive campaign in support of the AIADMK Front.

AIDCOC criticises Committees on drug control

Visakhapatnam, Apr 29 (UNI) The All India Drug Control Officers' Confederation (AIDCOC) today alleged that mere appointment of committees to look into strengthening of Drug Control administration will not help as it had not acted on any of the recommendations given by similar committees in the past. EC directive to voters

Chennai, May 1 (UNI) The Election Commission of India today said voters who have been issued Electronic Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) have to produce them before the authorities at the polling stations to exercise their franchise in the ensuing elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly. 5 AIDS cases detected in Mahoba

Mahoba, Apr 30 (UNI) Five new AIDS cases have been detected in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. District health department sources said here today the five AIDS patients were afflicted with HIV-2 virus. They are also sufferring with tuberculosis, sources informed.
