Quit smoking, King advises Koirala

Kathmandu, May 1 (UNI) King Gyanendra has requested Nepal Prime Minister G P Koirala to take care of his health and ''quit smoking''.

The oath taking ceremony of Nepal's Mr Koirala was postponed due to his ill-health.

When Mr Koirala entered the hall for the oath taking ceremony in the palace, the King received him warmly, a close aide of Koirala said.

The King asked him about his health and advised, ''PM, please you should give up smoking.'' They did not discuss political matters.

Mr Koirala was leading the anti-King movement launched by seven political parties with the support of Maoists and civil society.

This was the first meeting between the King and Mr Koirala since the King seized power from the elected government last year.

Mr Koirala always warned the King on usurping all powers himself.
