New Zealand minister meets Punjab govt officals

Chandigarh, May 1 (UNI) Mr Trevor Mallard, Minister for Economic Development, Industry, Regional Development, State Owned Enterprises, Sport and Recreation and Associate Minister of Finance of New Zealand today held a meeting with Punjab Chief Secretary K R Lakhanpal.

The two discussed the mutual areas of cooperation between Punjab and New Zealand.

Mr Lakhanpal was assisted in the talks by senior officers of the state government including Mr P Ram, Mr J R Kundal, Mr N S Kalsi and Mr R K Kaushik.

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The Vishva Hindu Parishad today condemned the massacre of 22 Hindus in Jammu's Doda district and demanded immediate imposition of President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir in order to 'protect' the Hindus.
