K'taka CM presents Media Academy Awards to 12 Journalists

Bangalore, May 1 (UNI) Mr Sachidananda Murthy, Resident Editor 'The Week', New Delhi, was presented the Karnataka Media Academy Special Award by the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy here this evening.

Mr Kumaraswamy also presented Media Academy Award to 12 Journalists at a glittering function held at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kumaraswamy called upon the Journalists to be impartial in reporting and verify truth before publishing any story.

Awardees included Mr N Gururaj, Dr Vijay, Mr R P Jagadeesh, Mr Indudara Honnapur, Mr N S Ponnappa, Mr Rafiq Bhandari, Mr Munjane Sathya, Mr K Gopinath, Mr R T Majgi, Mrs K H Savithri, Mr N Ranganath, Mr H L Keshwamurthy, Mr Echanur Kumar and K Ramakrishna.

Yediyurappa to announce new industry policy within a week
