HMT inks pact with Belgium-based company

Bangalore, May 1 (UNI) HMT Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s Pegard Productics SA, Belgium, envisaging manufacturing and supply of upgraded range of Boring Machines of Pergard make of HMT in India and abroad.

The MoU was signed at the Hannover Fair held in Germany, a HMT release here said today.

The two companies would also explore business opportunities and undertake joint manufacturing and supply of specific range of Pegard machines and accessories related to market requirements to Indian and overseas customers through technology transfer.

Technology acquisition for supply of high-end machines had been one of the key strategies adopted by the company to focus on the requirements of strategic sectors such as aerospace and aviation, apart from auto and atuo component manufacturing sectors, the release said.

3 killed, 13 injured in road accident

Mandya, Apr 29 (UNI) Three persons were killed and 13 injured in a collision between a private bus and a car at Hosabudanur state highway, three km from here. Police said the car was proceeding to Mysore when the mishap occurred. While the deceased were inmates of the car, the injured were passengers of the bus, carrying a marriage party to Doddaballapur. Two of the deceased were identified as Pavanianur and Aveesh, the car.....

Three labourers die while cleaning a rural toilet

Bijapur, Apr 29 (UNI) Three workers engaged in cleaning of a toilet in a village in bagewadi taluk yesterday died of suffocation, police said today. The incident occoured at Markabbanhalli. Two other affected workers were admitted to a local hospital, Police said here. UNI XR VK HVB1135.....
