Heat wave condition continues at several places in India

Pune, May 1 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in south coastal Andhra Pradesh and north coastal Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in east Rajasthan.

Hot day condition prevailed at isolated places in Haryana and east Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh,Telangana,interior Karnataka and in some parts of Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Vidarbha, coastal Karnataka and remaining parts of east Rajasthan and were above normal in west Rajasthan and in some parts of coastal Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh and north Chattisgarh.

They were below normal in some parts of interior Orissa and Jharkhand were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and mainly dry weather will prevail over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarachal and east Rajasthan.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir and Andman and Nicobar Islands.
