Chandigarh, May 1 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice M M Kumar today issued notice to the respondents for May three on a petition filed by former Punjab Minister Gobind Singh Kanjhla.

The unseated MLA has requested to stay the order as he has to appeal against the verdict in the Apex Court. However, he was unable to do it in the absence of a certified copy of the judgement given by Justice Kumar.

Mr Kanjhla returned to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha as an independent candidate in 2002 general elections after having been denied nomination by his parent party Shiromani Akali Dal(Badal).

The counsel for the petitioner Harchand Kaur of the Congress, was directed to submit the reply to Kanjhla's petition by May two as argument has been fixed for May three.
