Govt. working on industrial policy to deal with reservation

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Faced with the industry's resistance to job reservation in the private sector, the government is expeditiously working on an ''inclusive'' Industrial Policy, aimed at handsomely rewarding companies setting up units in 60 districts, with more than 50 per cent SC/ST population.

''We have identified the districts which have over 50 per cent of their population from the SCs and STs. A host of liberal fiscal and other incentives will be given to the companies setting up units in these areas employing local people'', a top level source in the government told UNI.

Export zone to be set up in Bihar: Jayram Ramesh

Patna, Apr 29 (UNI) Union Commerce Minister V.Jayram Ramesh today said the government would set up an export zone in Bihar to boost exports from the state. Centre sanctions Rs 22.67 crore for agri development in HP

Shimla, Apr 29 (UNI) The Centre has sanctioned a sum of Rs 22.67 crore for the development of agriculture in Himachal Pradesh under the Accelerated Growth of Agriculture and Forests (AGAF), Agriculture Director J C Rana today said.
