Anuraf Goel new Company Affairs Secretary

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Mr Anurag Goel today took over as Secretary, Ministry of Company Affairs.

He succeeds Mrs Komal Anand, who relinquished charge of the post on superannuation yesterday.

A 1972 IAS officer of the UP Cadre, Mr Goel was earlier Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.

VHP condemns killing of 22 Hindus in Jammu's Doda district

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The Vishva Hindu Parishad today condemned the massacre of 22 Hindus in Jammu's Doda district and demanded immediate imposition of President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir in order to 'protect' the Hindus. ''Since militancy started in that state, more than 50,000 Hindus had been killed in a systematic 'ethnic cleansing','' a statement alleged. JJ/slum dwellers to be relocated in Delhi

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The Delhi cabinet today decided to temporarily shift slum dwellers from Yamuna river bed to 25 acres of land in Savada Ghevra near Nangloi in West Delhi. The decision follows an order of the Delhi High Court that the slum dwellers be removed and the polluted river be cleaned up.
