RJD MP for facelift of Patna civil court from his fund

Patna, Apr 30 (UNI) Fascinated with his legal profession RJD MP Rajniti Prasad, newly elected to the Rajya Sabha, has assured to provide infrastructural facilities to the Patna civil court for its smooth functioning.

Mr Prasad, who continues with his main profession in the Patna civil court, called on senior lawyers there and assured them to extend financial help for solving the problems. Accompanied by District Bar Association General Secretary Arvind Kumar Sinha, he promised to donate the first instalment of the fund released from his MP quota.

Mr Prasad, who was also a public prosecutor of the Vigilance before being elected to the Rajya Sabha, admitted the constraints being faced by the lawyers of the civil court. While talking to senior lawyer Ranjit Singh, Mr Prasad said he would donate the fund to enrich the library with updated journals and new editions. He stressed on the need for computerisaton of the library for getting quick informations on any legal point and judgement delivered by other courts.

The MP also assured to solve the acute crisis of drinking water by getting installed two hand pumps. Taking strong note of the space problems which he too had to face, Mr Prasad said he would try for expansion of the building providing more space to accommodate the lawyers.

The advocates, who were also facing power shortage, drew the attention of their colleague to it. He promised to look into it.
